Mini Story: The history of the Bergère (see bergere) begins around 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the armchair of the nobility and the upper-middle class. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the era, gave it the feel of a throne. From its early years, it was considered the queen of chairs, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back, and curved sides, and for its dominance in the space as a decorative element. Over the years (depending on the era and fashion), the Bergère armchair changed its appearance.
