6 Ways to Make Your Bedroom More Luxurious
Most of us would like our bedroom to look more luxurious and expensive, but we think it requires a lot of money and perhaps the hand of an experienced decorator. But the reality is that making your bedroom look more luxurious is quite simple. Just follow these simple decorating tricks!
Upgrade your bedding
Perhaps the easiest and most effective way. If you use bedspreads in bright colors and patterns and low-quality sheets, then it is quite difficult to achieve the luxurious look. Prefer neutral colors, with touches of more intense color on the pillows or through a discreet pattern on the bed linens themselves. Finally, choose bed sheets that are 100% cotton, as those that are a mixture of cotton and polyester tend to have higher resistance to use and washing, but a "cheaper" feel.

Avoid furniture sets
As much as possible, it would be good to avoid furniture that belongs to the same set. It may be the easy and quick solution, but the end result will be too uniform and will resemble more of a product display than a bedroom at home. For example, the bed does not have to match the bedside tables or the wardrobe , neither in color, nor even in material. If you really feel like experimenting, instead of the classic bedside table you can choose a small table or even a console .

Invest in mood lighting
In addition to the main source of lighting (the ceiling light ), the presence of extra lighting sources contributes to creating a relaxed atmosphere, which is the ultimate goal of the bedroom . The easiest way is with two table lamps , one on each side of the bed . Make sure they "catch" the eye (besides their design, another way is by using contrast), so that they are one of the central points of the room. If you want something perhaps even more luxurious, then you can get modern or antique wall sconces . There are countless designs on the market, for all budgets and tastes.

Make sure you have a rug
Not only does bare flooring often look cold and uninviting, but it also makes furniture seem like it's floating on the floor. At the same time, a rug is an easy way to add pops of color to a room without worrying about overdoing it.

Add extra layers to your bed
Don't just have a sheet on your mattress . Adding a thin cover and a second, thicker one on top will give you the feel and look of a bed you'd find in an expensive hotel. Of course, especially in the summer months, you don't need to cover them, you can just have them for appearance reasons so that your bed doesn't look too flat.

Choose the right bed
The most important piece of furniture in the bedroom is of course the bed , so it makes sense that it plays an important role in the overall look of the space. Choose beds with a simple and timeless design, as they will not only stand the test of time, but will also better convey the feeling of luxury. This means that beds with built-in mirrors and complex details should be avoided. You have so many opportunities to decorate the space through other, smaller objects , there is no need to do it through your bed .
