7 of the Most Stylish Hotel Lobbies

A hotel lobby defines the first impression a guest will have. A grand staircase, an imposing chandelier , or a beautiful sculpture are key decorative elements that set the tone for the rest of the guest experience. The following seven hotel lobbies are charming, but without going overboard with their decor.

Room Mate Emir Hotel (Istanbul, Turkey)

The goal was to maintain the sense of history of the space, but at the same time add modern touches of luxury. This was achieved by using aged brass on the reception desk and a glass, pink chandelier that matches the walls perfectly and creates the necessary contrast.

Gowanus Inn & Yard (New York, USA)

Inspired by a 1950s painting by American artist Robert Bechtle, the design team brought the painting 's bright color palette to life, while also taking advantage of the contrast created by the neutral concrete walls.

Plaza Athénée (Paris, France)

One thing that makes this lobby stand out, besides its beautiful decoration, is that it is located on the hotel's exterior, right next to its lush green courtyard. Another thing is that during the winter months it turns into an ice rink!

Aman Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan)

At the top of Otemachi Tower in Tokyo is this truly special lobby of the Aman Tokyo hotel. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of the city, while the flowing water evokes a Japanese garden.

The Adolphus Hotel (Texas, USA)

This particular hotel was built in 1912 and had to preserve at least part of its original design at all costs, so its design includes all the original features, with touches of modernity, mainly through the furniture (such as the sofas and armchairs ) that were chosen.

Publica Isrotel (Herzliya, Israel)

This lobby combines decorative elements from different cultures, which are rarely found together in the same space. This was achieved by using furniture sourced from flea markets in Turkey, Israel and the Netherlands.

Ritz Carlton (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan)

The impressive lobby of the country's first Ritz Carlton features four grand staircases that look down onto the marble floor. Lucky visitors to this lobby will also find an impressive fireplace, above which hangs an expensive chandelier , as well as works of art of truly impressive proportions.

Have you visited a hotel whose lobby truly left you speechless? We would be very happy if you could share your experiences with us in the comments below!
