6 Smart Ways to Cover Your Windows
Curtains are the first solution that comes to mind when someone wants to cover a window from prying eyes. At the same time, they play a big role in the decoration of the space and the general feel it has. However, if you are not a fan of them, we have six alternative suggestions that you might be interested in!
Blinds
The most obvious alternative of all, shade blinds are a cheap and easy solution. They can be installed by anyone in no time and there is a wide variety on the market, both in sizes and colors, as well as in construction materials. We recommend fabric blinds, since they provide a more warm feeling than plastic ones and their cost is similar. For a house that is used mainly in the summer months, a good suggestion is wicker blinds.

Sunscreen films
If you don't want to limit your view to the outside, then solar films might be what you're looking for. They allow you to see outside normally (although everything will be slightly darker), but not everyone else inside. You can choose either a mirror film or a regular solar film. Be careful at night though! If the light inside is brighter than outside, then someone can see in with relative ease.

Sandblasted glass
It is a solution that has both positives and negatives. The positive is that it very effectively limits the visibility inward, regardless of the lighting conditions. The negative is that it does the same with your own visibility outward, so this solution is usually used in windows without a particularly important view, such as in the skylight of an apartment building or in the bathroom window.

Stained glass imitations
Stained glass windows are one of the most expensive "interventions" you can make in your space. Fortunately, there is a DIY way to transform them into this look with minimal cost! All you need is special glass paint, which you can find at hobby/painting stores, and masking tape.

Raffia
Many decorators choose to install shelves in front of windows, and place decorative objects on them, such as glass flower vases , to create "plays" with the light as it passes through them.

Plants
Of course, such a list could not be without indoor plants. You can place them either on your windowsill or hang them from the top of your window. In addition to giving an extra touch of liveliness and color to your space, they also help to create a healthy atmosphere, while of course, due to their leaves, they block prying eyes. Alternatively, there is always the option of artificial plants .
