Feng Shui: 10 Useful Tips for More Positive Energy
The philosophy of feng shui first appeared in China at least 3,000 years ago, with the term meaning "air and water." According to many, it all started when it was observed that many people born in Hongcun, a village in China, later became generals and emperors. Scientists of the time who studied this phenomenon came to the conclusion that the mountain and river located in the area were directly related to this phenomenon.
Today, of course, feng shui has been recognized as a pseudoscience and is simply characterized as the interaction of man with his environment and its purpose is to be a guide to achieving harmony in a space through decoration. So let's look at some simple ways to integrate feng shui into your everyday life!
Organize your space
Clutter and general chaos in the house is, according to feng shui, a sign of stagnant energy, as it prevents it from flowing smoothly throughout the house. So organize your space and its energy is said to improve noticeably. Even if you don't believe in all this, a clean space will offer you peace of mind, but also practicality, since you won't be looking for lost items all over the house!

Repair any damage
Anything that is broken or no longer working is thought to negatively affect the aura of your home. So fix that leaky faucet or cistern, oil those creaky doors, and throw away any item that no longer works properly. It doesn't do you any good anyway, so why keep it?

Position your bed correctly
Feng shui in the bedroom is particularly important, as it is the place where we all spend many hours each day. Ideally, the bed should be placed in such a way that you face the door of the room when you are lying down, but not exactly in a straight line from it. Many times this is not possible due to the layout of the space, in which case you can place a mirror opposite your bed , through which you will be able to look towards the door. The same applies to other places where you spend a lot of time, such as your workspace, if you work from home .

Watch your doors.
In feng shui, doors symbolize communication. They are also considered to be "openings" to opportunities that will present themselves later in life. It is therefore important, according to feng shui experts, that all doors can open at least 90 degrees, which means that there should be no obstacles behind them, as this will result in only a fraction of the opportunities that would otherwise present themselves.

Eliminate the gap above the kitchen
If your kitchen doesn't reach the ceiling, which is common since most homes in our country have high ceilings, place plants or decorative objects to "fill" this space. According to feng shui, chi "staggers" there and dead energy accumulates.

Pay special attention to your entry.
The entrance to your home is the place through which energy enters your home, so it would be a good idea to facilitate it. This means that your entrance should be clean and properly lit. If your entrance faces a wall as you enter, then install a mirror (wall or floor), it is said that facing a wall as you enter your home affects your thinking and you feel like you encounter metaphorical walls everywhere in your life.

Take advantage of running water
Running water in feng shui represents wealth and is said to bring positive energy, as well as luck. Don't worry, you don't need to build or place a whole fountain in your yard or balcony, a small feng shui tabletop fountain will do. Especially in the summer months, placed on the table of your balcony or garden , it will offer you the ultimate feeling of tranquility.

Cover the siphons
Feng shui says that luck and money "escape" through drains, as water, which as we said before, represents wealth, escapes. So install drain plugs and keep the toilet lid closed. Oh, and don't forget to close the bathroom door too!

Keep the windows clean.
Patio doors and windows symbolize our eyes to the outside world, ready to see what the universe has to offer. So if they're dirty, grab your window cleaner of choice and "open" your eyes!

Avoid artificial plants
Although artificial plants are the easiest solution, since they require absolutely no care, they are a big "no" in the field of feng shui. Prefer real indoor plants for feng shui (many of the species we find in flower shops require minimal care, with watering once a month or less) or bamboo branches. In the latter case, make sure there are nine of them, otherwise it is said that their properties will not work!
